In Cad  there are often times more than one name for same thing depending on the vendor and there background and a hostility to use the other name.

Element - A cad file primitive such as a line, linestring, circle, arc, ellipse.  In AutoCad terminolgy an Element is known as a Entity.

IE  - Microsoft Internet Explorer

IIS -  Internet Information Server

Block - Another name for a cell.  A group of elements that have been combined into a single object.

Block Shape - A rectangle formed by giving two opposite corners.

Cell - A group of elements that are manipulated as one.   Same as a Block in Autocad terminology.

Delta Coordinates, a method of inputting coordinates.  A distance is given for the change in x, change in y. IE.  Delta X, Delta Y

Pick - The process of selecting an Element or Entity for further evaluation or modification.  Also known as drilling down.

SmartPick -  A name given by Pangaea Cad Solutions to there method of being able to precisely input coordinates.

Object -  A cad file primitive, a simple element or a Block.

PcsCustom - An active x control containing over 500 methods and properties to manipulate a cad file.  Basically a Cad system in a single programmable control.

Relative Coordinates, same as Delta coordinates.  The coordinate is relative to the previous coordinate.

WebDgn - A  IIS server product that allows users to call up there cad files over the internet inside as a web page.  All reference files and raster files are handled as well.
